The payoff was ATI received aircraft originally slated for ABX. The scab activity gave ATI aircraft and upgrades.
The quote below is from the ATSG CEO publically on the record – basically, the appreciation for ATI crossing the strike picket lines – and their reward to follow.
"ATI, whose pilots are represented by ALPA, and did not support the strike, will crew all of the remaining aircraft we deploy for Amazon."
ATI did not support the strike, all other carriers did.

A bunch of Canadians and Germans crossed the same "picket lines". So did a bunch of poor turboprop pilots. Let's make sure they all never work again. Put them on a list!!!
If you're not willing to do what it takes to ruin the careers of those poor turboprop pilots, then the ATI guys aren't scabs.
There is only one definition of a scab. Either they all are, or they all aren't.
