Frontier does have ZED on Southwest and American. As well as most other US carriers and many foreign ones (including airlines like Lufthansa).
It's really just United and Delta who don't offer F9 ZED fare options.
Not for a companion, most worthless flight benefits I've ever seen. Unless you live in or near a base, you hardly are able to use the limited options F9 provides. Smoke and mirrors when pass bureau talks.
