Plane came in 20 min early, and when boarding starts there's "a problem".
Once it's written up it's no longer a pilot issue. It is an issue for MX and Customer Service. Sure, we may have an opinion about it, or an input. But, if MX halts or delays boarding, not our deal. I have seen it done both ways. Likely depends on comfort level of the MX folks and their supervisor.
