I've heard the same thing. The 80's had a ton of Maintence issues this summer. Lots of engine overheat issues (once again LAS being hot in the summer surprised us). So I've heard they want all the 80's out of LAS by next summer.
Who knows if it will happen, but that's the latest I've heard.
I vaguely recall hearing this same rumor last year around this time… and possibly the year before that too.
