The rational decision as others have shown is to reopen the base. You cannot staff ULH outside of domicile hence why PI's doing MEL have to commute in 2 days before trip. Can easily sub in Sparky to LHR or FRA during winter and S America for summer. Throw in a domestic leg and bunkie NRT-DEN and you are set until planning changes its mind again. IAH council is doing exactly what they should. Nothing emotional about it.
Shame that ALPA will be using our resources to give the filthiest Lorenzo scabs WB left seats again.
I know that there are a bunch of scabs there and I definitely don't want to enable them to continue their "fantastic" careers, but there are also some pilots that have integrity there. Those pilots deserve a chance to go back to Sparkie.
Hopefully, this will open up some additional ULH flying to further justify a base???
