QOL is the reason I would vote yes to a union as well.
Also I am not against having a legally binding contract instead of a policy manual that management can (and regularly does) change and interpret to fit their needs.
In reference to my previous comment about paying a union, I am not suggesting that a union fixes everything (certainly not at the regional level), but there are undeniable benefits as well.
I would vote in a union the first chance I have! The PPM is a joke! A new hire was "released" for failing their final sim ride, sure it's not for everyone. But the student pleaded to have a sim during normal hours claiming they were fatigued by having to be in the sim from 22:00 to 02:00, fell on deaf ears.
That's not even permissible, at Republic, to train or check during those hours. Written in a LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT!
