The 2100 time has been around a couple years. New CAs find out pretty quick. There are many times people will proffer for a trip and not confirm a trip. They do this hoping to tweak the reserve list a bit so they won't get called out.
I'm not even sure if it's legal. Someone proffers for a late start and gets it. Goes out and forgets to confirm the trip now he is stuck back on a RAP 1 without sufficient rest. Now I know the 2100 isn't contractual because they can't change our schedule after 1700.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's not contractual either even though they claim it is. But it is 100% stupid which is consistent with all random Crew Scheduling decisions. That one trip of mine they removed...it sat in open time despite me asking for it back. Then the next day I was so far up the RSV list I never got touched...meanwhile I watched as they burned 2 reserve guys to cover my original trip. The guy on standby and another on RAP who had to come in and finish the other guy's standby shift.
Meanwhile I'm watching the whole thing from home...laughing with a bucket of popcorn and fried chicken.
