There's no advantage for a pilot to use a ZED. That is for non-crew employees or family members. You won't have any extra benefits or priority by using a ZED. It's a benefit for those who don't have JS privileges. Domestically, it's usually somewhere in the ballpark of $60ish or so per leg depending on the route.
