In all seriousness though, the training department or on IOE training, they must teach full use of the speed brakes...all the time. Slow 10 knots... use full speed brakes. Descend to 3000' 20 miles from the marker... use full speed brakes and FLCH. People need to take it easy with those. Shakes the heck out of the plane and most of the time, unnecessary.

Maybe that's a new thing they are teaching. Historically I've experienced the opposite... People who are too timid to through the boards out. Sure it's bumpy, but the pax would rather bounce around a minute then have to spend an extra 15 from a go around.
