Goodness gracious, wasn't trying to start a mindless speedbrake argument....[emoji849] sorry but this statement is idiotic "instead of giving up on skill/planning and using the speed brakes." The speedbrake is a tool of the airplane, it was put there for a reason, knowing how to use it is part of planning, just like using the gear. Now I understand not flying around all the time with the brakes out just like you wouldn't with the gear, but I get sick and tired of hearing about people getting their hands slapped by speedbrake nazzis who think their method is superior to all. Fly it how you want and back off.
