Correct, according to my buddies in the training dept they're saying the written test is easy and there has only been 1 failure out of two classes (40 people) and the person who failed missed the cutoff by literally one question.
The SIM is what is getting people. Our instructors are very good but they can't teach you how to fly IFR. Extra sessions are common and training delays are occurring because of the backlog (in addition to not having enough check airmen which is supposed to be getting better 'soon').
