Chrispilot1 and all:
My class arrived in STL today from I doc in Indy. I can answer some things and others can chime in, and tell you why I'm at Rjet. You point out the issues I was toiling with myself. Can I ask you why aren't you at Rjet too?
Rhett is a very solid and stable company. Consider this Rjet is owened by AA, DL, and UA. Embrarier, and GE are the other major owners. I will ask you to think about that when you decide your future at Rjet or elsewhere. That is why I am at Rjet.
Rjet will start contract negotiations next month. Our President has told us that he expects to retain leadership in the Regional industry. Now is not an easy time as every pilot is being hired away. The only way he can do this in such a competitive environment for your and my skills is offer more. So what is more? Pay, and benefits is frankly what pilots want and are getting. Mr BB is fully awhere to f this and told our class directly. Understanding is parameters and another reason I'm at Rjet.
Training times from Indoc to systems, then sim is flying in the next morning. We have some time off then to systems. From systems a few of us have between 3-10 days off before we go to the sim sessions. Ask around Air Wis how long training takes?
From passing the check ride to OE we get about 5 days off, then to OE. You are flying with paying passengers onboard. You do not even get finished at Air Wis with OE. Some have to go back to the sims for a refresher. No so at Rjet. Another reason I'm here.
Reserve is anyone's guess. It depends on many varables. Time or year, what the main lines want, what we can provide, and fill per base. Both companies Rjet and Air Wis need pilots yet, at Rjet I can fly for all 3 in one day. That's why I'm at Rjet.
Half my class was assigned ORD as a base in Indoc this week. That's why they are at Rjet.
We received a new ERJ this month. What was the last CRJ200 built? That's why I'm at Rjet.
I goofed up my direct deposit for my check. I was the only one in class that was not on direct deposit yet. I sent 1 e-mail and had a paper check in my hand in about an hour. That's why I'm at Rjet and our payroll department stepped me through the why my dad was not accepted. It is all correct now.
Rjet paid for my luggage and uniforms. That's why I'm at Rjet.
Looking at the seniority list between what is on the property as of last night. In order to continue operations we will need to upgrade at least 50 new captains a month. That makes my UG about the 18 month spot. If the attrition continues or increases then I move up faster. We loose about 50 a month and many of those are not Captains yet FO's to about everyone we fly for and more. That's why I'm at Rjet.
I hope I answered the questions and told you why I'm at Rjet. Let me ask you again, why aren't your here at Rjet?
Any other questions ask and I'll try to get an answer.
