I also believe that they will continue to fill classes with straight military guys and regional guys. While the transition to Brown may not be quite as easy for these guys, I'm sure that a vast majority will adapt and have no problems.
Regional guys going onto a domestic fleet essentially just have to learn a new a/c and some minor SOP differences - it's the MIL and corporate guys who might find the transition to 121 not quite as easy.
For the guys keeping tabs on hiring quals, it would be helpful if we could elaborate on Atlas based newhire backgrounds. I know a few that put in 5-8 years at Atlas before coming to brown. A bunch of regional folk bailed and put in a year or two before getting the UPS interview. A few were at intl carriers (ME and Asian contracts) and went to Atlas to get back stateside. I've heard some MIL and corporate guys went for various reasons. And there's the real freight dogs bouncing around companies. Perhaps one of the atlas guys on here could offer better insight...?
