If I were IBT 1108, I would have a realistic expectations link that looked something like this:
FIRST YEAR PAY - $xxxxxx
RESERVE TIME - x months/years
UPGRADE TIME - x years
VACATION - x weeks per year
BENEFITS - xxxxx
IMPUTED INCOME - xxxxxxx
Just an idea.
First year pay - $1600 x 4 in training, min guarantee otherwise. If you're actually out on line, you should break guarantee without much trouble. (Tell that to the 767 guys a while back who spent 6 months at home waiting for OE.) A lot of hiring on both fleets this year, so wait times could get excessive again.
Reserve time - depends on aircraft/base. 767 CVG reserve lines can be anywhere from 40-60% of available bid lines.
Upgrade time - under 3 years, both fleets. This will not be the case for you.
Vacation time - you earn vacation time based on time on property. Unless you're hired Jan. 1, you may only have a partial week or two to bid, but in general, two weeks after you've been here a full year.
Benefits - medical/dental are okay, I guess. 401k match the same as the regional I came from. But hey - that FedEx discount!
Imputed income - varies wildly. Some bases get imputed, some don't. Prob worst in ANC?
