Like I said, upgrade into the crj and solve all your problems. Although I predict it wouldn't be long and you will be complaining that you are working too often and can't get the days off you would like.
As far as trip assignments go, sometimes there are things in the big picture that you aren't able to see.
Some of the reserves may not be qualified in one or more of the variants.
Some may have rest/block/FDP restrictions.
Some may have had assignments that made sense at the time, then had a reflow.
There are several other scenarios which can lead to the false conclusion that the trip should have gone to you.
Or, it was supposed to go to you and they assigned it out of order, in which case you should be calling them to ask about it.
