The junior hubs historically have been SFO and ORD. With IAD expansion, DCA has been added to the list of junior hubs.

If you live in the DEN area, it doesn't matter that you'd be sitting reserve. I am not a fan of commuting because it sucks up a lot of your free time. That is, unless you like hanging out in airports.
