I know a United Captain that was around during the '85 strike, and has done a lot of ALPA work in the past.

I found it really interesting when he said it was fortunate the strike only lasted a month, because many of the people that ended up being such vociferous haters of those that crossed the line, would have also crossed had the strike drug on.
