Hogan tests more than that. In its simplest form, it tests your normal/bright side. Obviously, hiring is targeted towards a certain mentality. That's the company's prerogative since they hold the keys to the ship. They are striving to build a pilot force they feel is beneficial for the "company."
I've heard a lot of comments over the recent years which do give me pause.
..."i've been hired to turn this company around for the better."
..."i'm here to change the pilot culture."
..."the cpo is my friend and the union not so much."
..."i was 3 when the strike occurred, scabs don't affect me and it's time to let it go."
..."i'm not like those United pilots who were here in 2000."
... when enforcing the contract "the cpo might get upset."
..."if you refuse the airplane, you're going to inconvenience a lot of passengers."
I could go on but the above is a fairly good sample. There are a lot of rose colored glasses, but time does breed reality.
