With today’s shutdown of Monarch over in the UK, there are 35 A320 types now with out a home. I believe they’re powered by the V2500s. Anyone have any insight as to whether we might be able to get our hands on those?

Used Airbus are not in line with Kirby’s RJ expansion goals to increase domestic route profitability. Unless he sees a way to fit them into the system in a manner that’ll be worth something long term (how many more RJs can he get if he increases the # or mainline aircraft with such a purchase?) I wouldn’t bet on United moving to swoop in to buy them.
