Used Airbus are not in line with Kirby’s RJ expansion goals to increase domestic route profitability. Unless he sees a way to fit them into the system in a manner that’ll be worth something long term (how many more RJs can he get if he increases the # or mainline aircraft with such a purchase?) I wouldn’t bet on United moving to swoop in to buy them.
