Mesa recruiting is like that girl you meet on tinder who is alarmingly easy to get naked in your hotel room and you just scratch your head because you know your game isn't that good, and then you find out there's a reason she's that easy. That is basically the hiring process at Mesa for about the last four years.
Outside of the interview, my experience has been completely different. We don't sit on reserve for months on end, like SkyWest or Envoy. My buddy at SkyWest is ready to quit because he is bored sitting in a crashpad.
Except for a few as$holes, the people are pleasant to work with. If you can figure out PBS, you can get a decent line. My current line had 14 days off this month. You can pick up extra flying at 300%, meaning you can earn more than SkyWest or Envoy doing what you love to do: fly.
The training department, particularly when you get to the sims was top notch. The IOE instructors were top notch.
The only drawback, which doesn't affect me, is the health insurance.
So, obviously, you have never worked here and don't have a clue. And, if you do work here, then you are one of the as$holes I was talking about.
