Not sure I understand your question, but....
The class date awards begin with a phone call to welcome you, learn if you are available, and to answer any questions you might have.
Mr. B assembles each class looking at various factors including the class mix, candidates that were hired earlier and just got released from the military and even those who had to re-schedule indoc for medical or family reasons. There is not a standard formula to figure out when you will get called. It is a tough wait and covered extensively on this board.
I do not think calling in would change the outcome. Delta is not going to allow this process to be manipulated by factors outside their control. They know it is a tough wait and they were always polite when called for a status update, but if you have not heard anything it is good news and calling might bring up your name more than you want it brought up.
Once you get your aircraft selection and bid the training department develops your training footprint you will have your schedule for the next six weeks, or how ever long it takes to get you to your checkride. You will probably have this schedule by the end of the first week of Indoc.
