First, don't feel bad, I got ripped into for spelling and grammar my first post too...

I too am in a similar situation; I am just about done with my 2 year degree in business. I live in Michigan and this place sucks, besides summers on the lake there is nothing here and lets face it sometimes you just have to get away from all the friends who enjoy doing nothing but sitting around getting stoned, (among other things) 24/7. I was sucked into the ATP hype and luckily put my deposit down for the 90 day ACPP before they jacked the price up another 5,000 and now the RJ course is included. Luckily I'm in a situation where I can put a nice down payment on this loan and move on down to Stuart, FL in January. I know it’s a lot of money but you can't fly in the winters here and my FBO doesn’t even have a twin , everyone I talk to hates WMU, and I talked to a guy who had already spent upwards of 30,000 with no PPL yet. I spent about 5k on mine and have around 160 hours thus far. It's just time to get up and move away for a while and while it’s a lot of money, it will be worth it, at least for me. I definitely am going to instruct for ATP to gain confidence and hopefully increase my chances at getting in a descent regional, one I want to work for, because who knows how long you might be stuck there. Over time I plan on taking a few classes online to finish the 4 year degree cause like everyone says, who knows what could happen in the next 5 years.

P.S. I know personally guys from my FBO who went to ATP and got a job two months after instructing, one was with Republic flying the 170. I know it’s going to be expensive but experience will be worth it.
