System Schedule Committee
Captain Jeff Nooger of the System Schedule Committee briefed the MEC on the status of pilot staffing needs looking forward to Summer 2018 flying. The Company's updated plan now includes accelerated furlough recall/new hire classes. In addition, the Company expects multiple vacancy bids over the next several months, beginning with a primarily narrowbody-focused vacancy.
If we’re focusing on multiple narrowbody vacancies, I’m guessing it would be safe to assume that some announcement of more narrowbody seats is in the works.
