Here is my thought on this. I was in your same boat. Chief pilot, lots of 135/91 PIC time and was not getting the call. I had every box checked, everything updated and was patiently waiting for years.

I then had a person tell me, its most likely because you're not 121 recent. (I was a regional FO for 6 years about 10 years prior but went 135 after to GET TPIC time.)

I left 135 for a direct entry CA position at a budget regional. I got on the line there and within 6mo got the call to SWA. Im not certain if my transition to 121 again made the job happen, but Im thinking so.

In my class we had 1 corporate guy. 1. Out of 30 guys, 1. So, you are competing with other corporate guys for that 1 or 2 spots every single class. Now, there were about 18 regional guys in my class. So, as a regional person you're really going for about 2/3 of the spots available in any said class. It ups your odds tremendously.

The rest we all know are military here at SWA. So, perhaps thats some insight as to why you specifically arent getting a call, is that youre just up against EVERY other 135/91 guy applying who may be even more qualified than yourself.

Perhaps go 121 any way you can if SWA is your true goal. Update the pilotcredentials and go from there.
