I *highly* doubt you'll spend more time at home as a PSM based captain than as a major heavy captain. You'll easily be gone 12 days a month if not all 16. Even if you do an out and back you'll probably get minrested to come back the next day. You will likely get thrown on the cycle that misses all the holidays. I worked Easter, 4th of July, Labor Day, and if I hadn't left i would've worked Christmas, Christmas Eve, and thanksgiving.
