Frankly, it just doesn't make sense to come here anymore. Upgrades with minimum hours will be the industry standard going forward, so the quick upgrade is everywhere. Go where the money is, not where your friends think is the "cool" place to work.
With Endeavor and the other wholly-owneds free of the necessity to turn a profit, independent carriers (and their employees) cannot win this game.
My base CP told me a couple weeks ago that the Endeavor TA is Delta’s way of beginning to choke out some of the contract carriers. I don’t think that necessarily means SkyWest, because honestly I think your company has some pretty deep pockets and I also think you provide way too much lift to simply go away. But I do think the new 9E TA and most likely the subsequent pay raises at the AA WOs will certianly make things difficult for management at many places. I don’t see the TSH regionals having their contracts renewed.
