Some of the attitudes I see on our forum really reflect what I've seen in some of my regional comrades recently.

There seems to be this be assumption that because DAL, UAL, and AA are hiring in large numbers, the job is already yours. I know guys with applications ONLY in AA, ONLY DAL, or ONLY UAL. That's their first choice and assume they'll get that call any day now and the job is theirs to have when they do. Then they go into that interview, assuming they get one, and some get that TBNT and are crushed with no backup plan. Or it's been years and they keep on chugging along at their sh*t regional because they're "too good for JetBlue or SWA or Spirit."

Those of us here at JetBlue, yeah career prospects are better this very moment at DAL, UAL, and AA. Put that app in. In the meantime, we're trying to improve what we have here at B6, because you may never get that call for DAL. Or you might, then get a TBNT. What then? Be miserable at B6 for the remainder of your career and inject that cancer into the rest of the pilot group or make the best of what we have?

Bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
