If you were in management and knew that decision had been made, how would you proceed in the short term? What would you tell the employees? What steps would you take?
Wasn't there a time (2007 or 2008?) when Horizon pilot group won a pay raise for those flying the jets? And then the jets went away. Mgmnt would mislead everyone and try to delay/soften the blow for as long as possible. All the execs who've come over will have a safe place to go back to, but it sure looks good.
The most alarming thing to me is the foreseeable loss of the recent 175 deliveries. They saved money with stagnant hiring & training and by not providing pay raises, but at what price?
Its 3rd down and 28 yards to go. Do you go long, or just try for a few more yards before punting?
