I agree with Guam and Syd ... Way too much tolerance and acceptance.

No need for conflict in the cockpit ... SOP, business like attitude, and one word answers have worked for me.

If it's someone like V@()ghn who is eager to entertain you for hours adnausium, just look directly at him and say 'I am not interested in any of your chit' ... He is well trained and promptly puts his stack of papers away. It works.

A few years ago several crews were in the bar at the FRA Marriott deciding where to eat ... A friend pointed out to me that one of the participants was the #1 777 F/O in Dulles ... So I asked the question to the group isn't he a SCAB? Two of us ate somewhere else. It only takes a little backbone to avoid those with none.
