The silence is deafening because there is nothing there. Remember, we have two levels of management when trying to win contracts- our management and Inc. I know our union reps on the CRJ side are working hard with management to get more flying, but only so much they can do. Unlike other airlines we never seem to bid on flying until we can staff it. Well, since we don't offer fast upgrades (or much else for that matter), no one comes here so we can't staff it. So we don't bid on it.
My understanding is that we are trying to get more flying from UAL. The problem is that they are scoped out so anything we win comes from someone else. Same story we've heard for a while that others are messing up and we will get their flying. Yeah, right.
The AAL flying out of DFW is temporary until Inc can staff it. Those -700s are pretty old. Then we will be left with single class ERJ flying.
Really, I see three possible outcomes.
1. Merged with Inc. Not happening. They hate unions. Ironic as Chip Childs went before Congress and testified that he could not find enough pilots to staff his airline.

2. We're purchased by UAL. Yeah, this one's been floating around for years. A flight attendant has a roommate whose boyfriend's sister's college roommate is dating a guy whose mom's third husband has a brother who is a mechanic for UAL who says this is a done deal.

3. We are would down.
Take your pick. Two out of three suck.
