First of all, as a Legacy XJT ERJ Captain, I welcome all of our ASA brothers or sisters on my flight deck, with open arms. I'm fairly certain that this sentiment is shared with the vast majority of my fellow crewmembers. If the guy or gal next to me is L-ASA, they need not worry about paying for drinks on our pairing. We're one family that has been decimated by an anti-labor parent company, and an inept group of managers. All we have is each other, and until we get out of this flaming heap, we need to have each others backs. Period.

I do believe this was by design. The plan was to spin us both down, and this is the method that gives SGU the most amount of control in that effort.

I doubt UAL will ever get any of their operation in order. Give it a few months until Kirby comes asking for scope relaxation. The place has always been the most poorly run major out there.
