DCA is steadily growing, and will continue to. They have said that DCA will be almost the size of CLT in terms on numbers of pilots.
DCA has grown from 29 to 59 lines in the last 5 months. I expect it to be well over 100 lines by mid to late summer.
CP told me a few weeks ago that DCA is pretty much almost done growing and that further growth would continue elsewhere... I think TSA opening their 145 base there is taking some of the flying we were slated to do. Also I’ve seen PDT in there more and more. So who knows...
