Atlas is bursting at the seams with Asian contracts. These are high dollar deals with Asiana, NCA, Cathay, DHL, etc. These are premier companies, and Atlas will see less and less secondary people, like TK and Astral (Africa flying). Atlas, like it or not, will be the number one solution for Pacific Rim cargo. Our fight with management is mostly about how much management and shareholders take profits away from the pilot group (much like UPS). Kaliitta and the rest are free to take those second tier contracts. The pilots should be fighting tooth and nail to keep Connie from getting a competitive advantage on these contracts, which are not Atlas friendly contracts. Long duty days put them in competition with Western Global, Skylease, etc.
