They've got a "productivity" problem. No specifics have come back yet but, in general, the company wanted more "flexibility" in exchange for more soft money.
Mandatory retirement was never part of the IBI discussion because the union simply CAN'T negotiate on that topic without risking a YUUUUGE DFR suit. You know, like the one YOU should have filed amigo. ;-)
