There are 618 eligible voters. 90 of you voted. That is 14.5 percent voter turnout. You guys make an investment into the Association at a rate of 2% per check, and I would think that if you are pouring money into something, you'd at least want to know what you are doing with it or have a share.
Effectively, 90 people are making decisions, through the election, what the other 530-540 are going to be doing for the next three years. Let that sink in.
Based on the turnout, people must be pretty happy here or do not have a care in the world about the Association and what they do.
I saw zero campaigning by any of the candidates. Even if people wanted to make an informed decision, there was very little to no information available. When that is the case, the voting will favor the status quo.
We're not a career destination (and that's how it should be), but that shouldn't be mutually exclusive with wanting to make this a better place to work.
