You're right, regionals are hiring and because the pay is sooo great all regional airlines are swamped with resumes and they might even stop hiring tomorrow…Right?...
Had I known about the UPS internship when I was in school I would definitely pursue it. I would think of it as a year to get to know the people who quite possibly could conduct my interview in the future; maybe get to know some pilots who'd offer me advice and maybe further down the road even a recommendation?
But hey, it's just me, I’m frequently wrong; heck it took me 8 years to get hired...I wish you good luck, and I mean it...
