Be very careful to chose an airline based on bases. Bases come and go very quickly. Miami can stay but can also close depending on where AA needs our planes and pilots.
The Miami flying itself is safe for at least the next two years. A bunch of Caribbean destinations were extended till end of 2019, late in the summer and there is no evidence of Envoy working towards EOW capabilities. However, like you said anything is possible and the base itself could close.
