Along the lines of the previous question, a friend of the family is in management and offered to walk me in to meet the recruiters. I saw in another post on here that that can actually backfire since the recruiters are so busy right now. Would it be best to have him pre-screen me, ie, ask the recruiters "hey, I know this guy, he's qualified, do you have time to meet with him for a few minutes..." rather than risk showing up unwelcomed? Or should I just pass on the offer altogether and meet them at a job fair?
