I don’t think people are arguing that in theory flow is a good thing. The argument is that a flow agreement today means nothing to a new first officer coming in based on the history of these agreements in the past.

Look at it this way. If the market stays great, flow agreements stick, and the Majors continue to hire, you won’t need a flow and most would be able to move on before their number comes up. If the market tanks and the climate changes dramatically, say goodbye to your flow agreement. You’ll either get pushed 10 years down the road or the agreement is ripped up through renegotiation or bankruptcy. Because of this, flow agreements shouldn’t even be in your top 5 considerations when choosing a regional.
