VPS and PNS both have plenty of commuters that use them. Flights from PNS include both 1 and 2 leg flights to CLT (like PNS-MIA-CLT), but I didn't check our other bases. I flew a DCA to VPS turn the other day, so I know that could allow a 1-leg commute.

Making the drive to any of them will suck, but I'm sure some of the RTP pilots still live down there and do it.

Thank you. I was trying to figure out what was the worst of the two evils. Driving 30 minutes and trying to get a flight out of Dothan or driving 1.5-2.5 hours and flying on an AA flight. On a second note, what makes a two leg vs. a single leg commute so much more difficult? Maybe not being able to get the connecting flight to your final stop?
