As of now, the AF would do pretty much anything to get another pilot in a cockpit. Oops. I meant flight deck. As for the reserves, I'm not sure if that's the same case. I'm guessing the reserves are plenty full of guys who left AD and joined the reserves. That said, if you'd like 10 more years in active duty with about 6 of them in a foreign land on the other side of the earth, you can get any waiver you'd like.

But to your question, you'd need to discuss with a local reserve unit to see what their policy is.
