If there were 1% of the pilots being fired every year, that would be a very high rate! If there were 45 pilots fired, how many of the other 4500 pilots would ever know about it? And it’s not just firings, it’s also discipline, harassment, scheduling shenanigans, and intimidations? How many of those instances go unnoticed by the thousands of other pilots due to pilots not wanting to rock the boat? At a union carrier, these things are tracked and reporting is specifically solicited to the members through emails sent out to them. When reporting these things to the appropriate committee, you don’t have to ever worry about that information going to a pilot who is paid by the company to represent them. That’s a HUGE conflict of interest!
If you have gone to CQ ground. They you are aware we have.. Pro standards, C.H.I.R.P, HIMS, and multiple other committees under SAPA. Not to mention the ones offered by the Company... most people juat don’t search out what’s available...
