I'm sorry if I implied that XJ is a junior airline, but what I said wasn't completely inaccurate. Potatoes potatoes. My statement about why I wouldn't necessarily want to go to Mesaba to be a captain was for valid reasons, and my reasons are not inaccurate. I could have gone into ALL the reasons, but the fact remains that if you got to XJ as a DE CA, you'll, at best, be at the bottom of the CA seniority list for a long, long time.
I didn't mean to imply that Mesaba is a low quality regional, far from it, especially when you consider how low the rest of the competition has sunk. If I was looking for a good airline to go to, I would most certainly consider Mesaba, but I would think twice before going there for the pure reason of immediate jet PIC. Not a big fan of reserve without end in sight, but that says nothing about QOL in general at Mesaba. And of course, I wouldn't suggest anything about the experience of Mesaba crews. Read my other posts and you'll find I'm very much of the thought that experience and hours do not necessarily go hand in hand, and that I have no problems with a 2000 hour CA flying with a 1000 hour FO.
