Exactly Correct. "SIC acting as PIC" is a type of flight time that exists ONLY on an 8710 with the ATP box checked.

DO NOT log it as PIC. Log SIC, but make a note about acting as PIC. Also get the real PIC to sign for it, and gett written permission from your airline before you do this...otherwise it may be an OPSPEC violation, which you don't want documented in your log book

DO NOT put this time on your resume or any job application forms.
