This is why I stress to FOs that they need to have a pretty good understanding of the contract. If they think they're getting screwed - they probably are. They need to look stuff up in the contract, and challenge CS if they think it's wrong. If they don't get it fixed, they need to call their reps. I think the biggest fear a lot of new FOs have is getting fired because they're on probation, but if the contract is being broken, it's being broken - it really doesn't matter that they're on probation. Challenge CS politely, then call the rep. They will fight for ALL pilots, regardless of status with the company.
