SkyWest will be fine. The next 5 years will completely change the industry, but if I had to put money on any regional surviving the mass exodus it will be SkyWest. The next 10 years? Oh they're screwed, just like every other regional.

But seriously, there are good amount of lifers at all of the current stable regionals. To no fault of their own, the last 25 years have been brutal for people trying to get to the Major level. I hope the best for all of them, and hope they can finish their careers at the seniority level they deserve. So many new people take for granted the current environment, like it's normal. That is where I have an issue with my "generation" of pilots, nothing is guaranteed but this is as close as it gets. The next ten years NO regional will be safe, just not enough people entering the industry comapred to those retiring. Making guys like me who don't feel like they're tier 1 or hell even tier 3 a little nervous!
