On any aircraft of that general configuration, if you have an engine fail + Fx fail, you're not going to be flying for long, unless you're really light and even then it may not be possible.
You go from having an engine on that side, to having a gi-normous ram air turbine that's driving a gearbox, N1 spool, and sucking air through an N2 spool with all compressors and accessories.
At first blush I have to give them credit for making the hard call to ditch and saving some lives, as opposed to trying to save it... and doing a full Vmc demo.
You can be in the very tough situation of having to idle the good engine and revert to glider mode... not sure about CODs but typically pilots aren't trained to do that, you have to figure it out yourself, maybe when the Vmc roll starts...
