CA I'm flying with said we only have three of the Chinese Airbii on the line as they are proving very expensive to reconfigure. Said we weren't getting more. Any truth to this Bus guys? I believe it might be expensive/difficult but I would be surprised to find that we aren't getting all of our announced aircraft.
Of course, the additional used Airbii rumor has been hanging out there some time now. Perhaps it has fallen through or we've had second thoughts?
I can confirm that is not true...Two weeks ago I flew a China trip (777) and we had a United test pilot on board flying to China to do an acceptance flight on one of the aircraft we are buying. Had him on board again two days later for our return to SFO. I chatted with him for a while...he said the test flight went fine. Another rumor bites the dust.
