500TT is the new 250TT. There's a lot of pilots who have 400-700 hours, a lot of them CFIs who realized being a CFI isn't for everyone, and they are obviously more "qualified" on paper than the 250TT wet commercial guy.
250TT->500TT is the difficult bit, 500-> is a lot easier.
